Job summary

TAE Technologies in Southern California seeks a Lead Electrical Engineer for Medical Beams to architect electrical subsystems for accelerator projects, ensuring safety standards per IEC 60601 and FDA rules. You will guide a multi-disciplinary team, prioritize budgets and schedules, and drive design solutions with cross-functional collaboration.

The role requires a BS in Electrical Engineering (MS/PhD preferred), experience with HV systems, and proficiency in CAD/PLM tools.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering required.
• MS/PhD in Electrical Engineering preferred.
• Experience with high voltage/current systems and safety clearances.
• Familiarity with ISO 13485 and FDA QSR in regulated environments.
• Experience leading engineering teams on medical/industrial projects.
• Proficiency with CAD tools and PLM systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead architectural design of electrical subsystems for accelerator components.
• Define and enforce electrical safety standards (IEC 60601 and FDA regs).
• Manage and guide engineering group toward program budgets and schedules.
• Identify engineering challenges and formulate design solutions with cross-functional teams.
• Provide direction, leadership and task assignments to meet quality goals.
• Oversee task progression and personnel development.
