San Francisco, California (USA) Medical Device Company is seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer to own the electrical architecture for next-generation medical products. You will lead design, verification and cross-disciplinary collaboration to deliver safe, compliant devices.

Ideal candidates have 8–12+ years across the full product design lifecycle, strong analog/digital design, power electronics, and hands-on hardware testing. This is a senior leadership role with growth opportunities.

Salary on offer:

The annual salary on offer for the successful Lead Electrical Engineer is $150,000 - $220,000 per annum.

Summary of the Lead Electrical Engineering Role:

The successful Lead Electrical Engineer will take lead and ownership of the electrical architecture, design, development and verification for the company’s next-generation medical products, and lead the team that brings them to life.

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
• 8-12+ years of industry experience across the full product design lifecycle
• Analogue & digital circuit design, PCB design and schematic capture
• Power electronics and microcontrollers (ARM Cortex, STM32, ESP32, PIC, AVR)
• Hands-on test equipment skills (oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analysers) and troubleshooting across hardware, firmware and embedded software
• EMC/EMI, DFT, DFM, NPI, CE Marking, sensors, power management and signal/power integrity
• Medical device compliance: FDA Class II, ISO 13485, IEC 62304, IEC 60601-1, 60601-1-2, 60601-1-11 and IEC/ISO 80601
• Proven technical leadership and mentoring, with great teamwork and communication
