Cleveland-Cliffs Inc. is seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer to strengthen electrical reliability and drive continuous improvement at the Indiana Harbor facility in East Chicago, IN.

You will lead capital and maintenance projects, work with operations and maintenance teams, and mentor maintenance personnel to maximize safety, reliability, and production performance. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, and strong

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years of electrical engineering experience in manufacturing, industrial, or process operations.
• Strong troubleshooting, project management, and communication skills.
• Experience with industrial electrical systems and equipment.
• Ability to work in a heavy industrial environment and support a continuous operation.
• Willingness to provide off-hours support for a 24/7 operation.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical reliability and continuous improvement across manufacturing operations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical, controls, and automation issues.
• Manage and execute maintenance and capital projects with scope, budget, and schedule.
• Conduct root cause analysis and develop long-term solutions to improve equipment performance.
• Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to support production goals.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to maintenance personnel and contractors.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
• Support outage planning, equipment upgrades, and commissioning activities.
• Provide technical support for a 24/7 manufacturing operation as needed.
