Job summary

Kiewit is seeking Electrical Engineers with 5+ years of experience to design electrical systems for large industrial facilities across multiple US locations. The role offers ownership of design work, mentoring opportunities, and collaboration with cross‑functional teams on EPC and Design Build projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (ABET-accredited).
• EIT license required or willingness to obtain.
• 5+ years of electrical design experience for industrial facilities.
• Experience with ETAP or similar analysis tools.
• Experience with SmartPlant or similar design software.
• PE preferred, or willingness to obtain within a year.

Responsibilities

• Prepare electrical engineering designs for large industrial facilities (water, energy, data centers).
• Evaluate techniques and criteria for EPC/Design Build projects.
• Coordinate design efforts with construction partners & interface points.
• Review electrical requirements for new facilities and project plans.
• Perform ETAP analysis and protection coordination studies.
• Mentor junior engineers and guide design standards.
