Lead Electrical Engineer - Electrical Contracting

This position is for a Lead Electrical Engineer at an established electrical contracting firm. The company operates across multiple sectors, including heavy construction, interior projects, and data communications, with a strong reputation in the industry. Many projects involve public infrastructure, working with major agencies and authorities.

Responsibilities:

• Review design documents (plans and specifications) to understand project scope
• Evaluate equipment submittals (electrical and MEP) for coordination and integration
• Develop 3D BIM models for coordination with other trades using AutoCAD MEP, Revit MEP, and Navisworks
• Participate in trade coordination meetings to resolve design conflicts
• Create and manage an engineering schedule aligned with project timelines
• Produce detailed 2D shop drawings from 3D BIM models for approval
• Update and revise shop drawings based on review comments
• Provide working drawings and technical support to field personnel
• Document contract modifications and as-built conditions for record-keeping

Qualifications:
