Nortek Data Center Cooling, LLC is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead electrical design and development for data center cooling equipment including air-handling and chilled-water systems.

You will own electrical portions from requirements through prototype, testing, production release, sustaining support, and field troubleshooting, with emphasis on high-growth AWS chilled-water programs and related products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) from an ABET-accredited program.
• Minimum 5 years in electrical engineering for industrial, commercial, HVAC, or electromechanical products; 7+ years preferred.
• Experience with 480 V three-phase power, motors, VFDs, transformers, panels.
• Experience developing/reviewing electrical schematics, BOMs, and component specs.
• Knowledge of NEC, NFPA 79, UL/ETL, and CE; UL 508A familiarity.

Responsabilités

• Lead electrical design and development for data center cooling equipment and related systems.
• Define system-level electrical requirements and architectures from specs and codes.
• Design and review 480 V three-phase power and controls, including motors, fans, pumps, VFDs, transformers.
• Perform electrical calculations: conductor sizing, protection, grounding, equipment ratings, SCCR.
• Ensure designs comply with NEC, NFPA 79, UL 508A, UL/ETL, CE, and local codes.
• Create and review electrical schematics, control panel layouts, BOMs, and manufacturing docs.
• Own electrical portions of new product development from design reviews to field support.
• Lead/root-cause analysis for complex electrical issues with cross-functional teams.
• Evaluate components/designs for safety, cost, reliability, and manufacturability.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to electrical design standards and best practices.
