Xcel Energy is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support installation, construction, and commissioning activities for two combustion turbine projects located near Mead, Colorado. This role requires immediate contribution as a technical lead for electrical engineering matters, collaborating with EPC contractors, project managers, construction teams, inspectors, and stakeholders throughout installation and commissioning.

The position is a Hybrid, Denver-based contract with a 12-month duration.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (ABET-accredited preferred).
• Approximately 7 years of electrical engineering experience with combustion turbine exposure.
• Experience supporting EPC contractors, commissioning, startup, or owner's engineer functions.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsabilidades

• Review and resolve electrical RFIs, technical questions, and contractor submittals.
• Provide electrical engineering oversight during combustion turbine installation activities.
• Review electrical drawings, specifications, studies, and technical documentation.
• Support troubleshooting of field installation challenges and design conflicts.
• Coordinate with EPC contractors, construction managers, inspectors, project controls teams, and internal engineering stakeholders.
• Ensure construction activities comply with project design requirements and approved specifications.
• Support project commissioning and startup activities anticipated during the next project phase.
• Serve as the electrical technical lead for project-related engineering matters.
