Job summary
ABEC in Springfield, MO is seeking an Electrical Engineer to lead electrical design for custom bioprocess equipment. You will develop schematics, control panel layouts, and instrumentation solutions while owning projects from design through commissioning.
You will collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and field service teams, support testing and startup, and provide technical support to customers. A bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical preferred) and experience with industrial
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering; Electrical preferred
- Experience with industrial electrical systems and motor controls
- Understanding of PLC hardware, process instrumentation, and control systems
- Knowledge of NEC (NFPA 70) and UL508 standards
- Experience with electrical load calculations and component selection
- Strong communication and project coordination skills
Responsibilities
- Lead electrical engineering activities for assigned projects
- Develop electrical designs, schematics, control panel layouts, and instrumentation solutions
- Define project requirements and electrical specifications
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and field service teams to ensure successful project execution
- Support commissioning, startup, testing, and troubleshooting activities
- Provide technical support to customers and internal teams
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and process enhancements
- Travel as needed to support project and customer requirements
