Job summary

ABEC is seeking an Electrical Design/Drafter to power life-saving bioprocessing technology in Wilson, NC. You will design electrical schematics, panel layouts, and conduit plans for custom biopharmaceutical equipment, applying codes and customer specs.

This onsite role requires 2+ years in industrial electrical design, AutoCAD Electrical proficiency, and the ability to read P&IDs. You will collaborate with engineers and field teams and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Two-year technical degree or equivalent experience required.
• Two or more years of industrial electrical design experience preferred.
• Experience reading electrical drawings and P&IDs; familiarity with drafting standards and electrical codes.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts and conduit schedules.
• Create panel assembly drawings and bills of materials.
• Apply I/O lists, P&IDs, customer specs and applicable codes.
• Support PLC, DCS, VFD and motor-control designs.
• Collaborate with engineers, manufacturing, project teams and field service.
• Verify installations and support equipment startups.
• Maintain design documentation and ERP data.
• Identify continuous-improvement opportunities.
• Travel as required.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities independently and as part of a team
