Electroswitch is seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer to join our Raleigh, NC team. The role provides technical ownership for product lines and supports CTI product integration into the Raleigh operation.

The ideal candidate has a strong electrical engineering foundation, manufacturing experience, and the ability to collaborate across engineering, operations, quality, and customer-facing functions. HMI experience is a plus but not required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; Master’s degree a plus.
  • Progressive electrical engineering experience in manufacturing environments is preferred.
  • Strong skills in troubleshooting, analysis, and problem-solving.

  • Provide electrical engineering support and technical ownership for assigned product lines.
  • Support transition and integration of CTI products within the Raleigh operation.
  • Provide day-to-day engineering support to manufacturing and quality teams.
  • Troubleshoot electrical, product, manufacturing, and field-related issues and develop technical solutions.
  • Collaborate with customers to resolve product and application-related issues.
  • Support product quality, reliability, and ongoing improvement initiatives.
  • Review electrical designs, components, and drawings for compliance and improvement.
  • Assist with product development, enhancements, and expansion of the product line.

Job description

Electroswitch is seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer to join our engineering team in Raleigh, North Carolina. This position will provide electrical engineering support and product ownership for existing and expanding product lines, including supporting the transition and integration of CTI products into the Raleigh operation.

The Lead Electrical Engineer will work closely with manufacturing, quality, customers, and other engineering resources to support day-to-day product needs, resolve technical issues, maintain and improve product quality and performance, and support the continued growth and expansion of the product line.

The ideal candidate has a strong electrical engineering foundation, experience supporting products in a manufacturing environment, and the ability to work effectively across engineering, operations, quality, and customer-facing functions. Experience with HMI products is a plus but is not required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide electrical engineering support and technical ownership for assigned product lines.
  • Support the transition, integration, and ongoing engineering needs of CTI products within the Raleigh operation.
  • Provide day-to-day engineering support to manufacturing and quality teams.
  • Troubleshoot electrical, product, manufacturing, and field-related issues and develop effective technical solutions.
  • Work directly with customers to understand and resolve product and application-related technical issues.
  • Support product quality, reliability, performance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Review and evaluate electrical designs, components, specifications, drawings, and product documentation.
  • Support existing products as well as modifications, enhancements, and expansion of the product line.
  • Partner with manufacturing and quality to investigate product issues and implement corrective or improvement actions.
  • Coordinate engineering activities associated with product changes, customer requirements, and manufacturing needs.
  • Provide technical guidance and product knowledge to internal teams as needed.
  • Assist with engineering projects and product-development activities based on business needs.
  • Develop a strong working knowledge of Electroswitch and CTI products and applications.
  • Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering field; a Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Progressive electrical engineering experience supporting products in a manufacturing environment; senior-level experience is preferred.
  • Strong electrical engineering, troubleshooting, and analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working with manufacturing and quality organizations to resolve technical and product-related issues.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, schematics, and technical documentation.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with customers and cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple technical priorities and work independently while collaborating across functions.
  • Experience supporting product development, product improvement, or product-line expansion is preferred.
  • HMI or related product experience is a plus but not required.
  • Project management or project coordination experience is helpful but not required.
