Job summary

GS Group in Wisconsin or Michigan, USA is seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer to own electrical design across industrial, manufacturing and R&D projects. You will drive concept through installation, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to meet project milestones.

The role covers power distribution, drives, lighting, fire and gas detection, and energy efficiency. Travel to customer sites is required, with overnight stays and collaboration with clients and suppliers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in industrial electrical systems design.
• PE licence preferred; strong knowledge of NEC and NFPA.
• Experience with Revit, SKM Power Tools and lighting calculations.

Responsibilities

We're looking for an experienced Lead Electrical Engineer to join a specialist engineering business delivering complex industrial, manufacturing and R&D projects.

This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer to take ownership of electrical design activities, working across multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects from concept and design through to installation and commissioning.

The Role

• Develop electrical power and control system designs, specifications and engineering calculations.
• Work across power distribution, AC drives, lighting, fire alarm systems, gas detection and lighting controls.
• Collaborate with engineering teams, project managers, clients and suppliers.
• Support equipment installation, start-up and commissioning at customer sites.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in industrial electrical systems design.
• Background in an engineering consultancy or design-and-build electrical contractor.
• Experience with Revit, SKM Power Tools and lighting calculation software.
• Knowledge of US electrical codes, including NEC and NFPA.
• Strong problem-solving, communication and project management skills.
• Flexibility to travel to customer sites, including overnight stays.
• Professional Engineer (PE) licence.
• Medium-voltage electrical systems.
