Job summary

ICF is seeking a Lead Electrical Energy Engineer to support decarbonization, electrification, and DER programs in California. Remote position based in Los Angeles area with travel in Southern California, working with utilities, Fortune 500 clients and government agencies.

You will review contracts for electrical engineering components, oversee staff, perform advanced calculations, develop design concepts, and coordinate with customers and stakeholders to deliver energy efficiency and

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering (or equivalent experience).
Current professional electrical engineering license in California.
8+ years of experience in electrical engineering in California and/or related experience.
5+ years leading design of building power systems with QA/QC and engineer of record.
2+ years developing EE/DER projects.
Must have valid driver’s license and MVR check.

Responsibilities

Review proposals, contracts and SOWs to ensure electrical engineering components comply with codes and policies.
Provide input to staffing for electrical engineering oversight and subcontractors.
Oversee and perform electrical engineering work including technical analysis, conceptual design, and cost evaluation.
Develop conceptual designs and write detailed reports on conditions, proposed changes, and costs.
Lead discussions with stakeholders to define electrical engineering needs and requirements.
Coordinate SOW requirements and project design work with stakeholders.
Work with customers and vendors to develop DER projects for public sector facilities in Southern California.
Perform field audits to document operations and opportunities for energy efficiency.
