Electrical Engineer
LHH Recruitment Solutions partners with a growing organization seeking a motivated Electrical Engineer to join a dynamic team focused on designing and optimizing advanced electrical assemblies for high-performance applications. The role involves collaborating with cross‑functional teams—including engineering, production, purchasing, and suppliers—to develop robust, manufacturable electrical solutions.
Electrical Design & Modeling
- Create detailed electrical box assembly models using SolidWorks Electrical.
- Develop wiring diagrams, layouts, schematics, and comprehensive Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Optimize designs for manufacturability, cost efficiency, and serviceability.
- Partner with production teams to refine and develop first-article electrical box layouts.
- Integrate feedback from technicians and engineers to enhance final designs.
Supplier & Outsourcing Support
- Work closely with purchasing to identify and qualify external suppliers for electrical assembly production.
- Provide technical documentation and support throughout quoting and build stages.
- Address supplier questions, design clarifications, and deviations as needed.
Manufacturing & Quality Assurance
- Inspect and evaluate electrical assemblies from suppliers.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and implement corrective actions based on production and field feedback.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks Electrical.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in electrical box design, wiring harnesses, and panel layouts.
- Strong understanding of electrical manufacturing processes, component selection, and BOM management.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
- Hands‑on, detail‑oriented approach with a focus on practical, manufacturable solutions.
- Experience in outsourced electrical assembly production or supplier management.
- Familiarity with industrial control panels or thermal management systems.
- Knowledge of relevant UL, NEC, or industrial electrical standards.
Compensation Range
$100,000 – $130,000 + 10% Bonus per year.
