Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Manager, Electrical & Controls Engineering to lead the electrical power systems and controls function within One MHS. The role oversees design, development, and implementation of power distribution and control systems for material handling projects, while guiding a team of engineers to deliver safe, scalable solutions.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
7+ years of industrial controls and automation experience, or Master's degree with relevant experience.
Experience leading engineering teams as a mentor or tech lead.
Strong knowledge of TCP/ICP networking and IP protocols (DNS, DHCP, NTP, SNMP).
Proficiency with IPCs, PLC programming, and SCADA system design.
Extensive experience with sensors, encoders, safety circuits, and safety devices.
Thorough understanding of NEC and related codes; power distribution design experience.
Experience with AutoCAD Electrical or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Lead and mentor electrical and controls engineers, fostering technical excellence and accountability.
Set strategic direction for the electrical and controls engineering function within One MHS.
Manage resources, workloads, and project assignments to ensure on-time, high-quality delivery.
Conduct performance reviews, career development planning, and talent acquisition.
Drive engineering standards, design reviews, and quality gates across the team.
Collaborate with mechanical, software, and project management teams to deliver integrated solutions.
