Job summary

Kleinfelder is seeking a Lead Electrical Controls Engineer for the Water Technologies team in the Northwest Ohio area with reporting options to Defiance or Perrysburg. The role focuses on designing, implementing, and troubleshooting electrical and control systems for water and wastewater facilities.

You will develop PLC/SCADA applications, create schematics with AutoCAD Electrical, perform onsite commissioning, and provide technical support while maintaining documentation and ensuring compliance

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, electrical engineering technology, or related field.
• Experience in electrical/control systems design with instrumentation, PLCs, and SCADA.
• Strong proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical for schematic design and wiring diagrams.
• Experience with AVEVA, Siemens, or Wonderware is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design Control Systems: develop electrical, instrumentation, and control systems for water and wastewater facilities.
• Create Schematics & Documentation: use AutoCAD Electrical to design schematics and BOMs.
• Develop PLC & SCADA Applications: write PLC logic and develop HMI/SCADA for process control.
• Onsite Commissioning & Testing: perform field startup and commissioning.
