Job summary

Kleinfelder, a Forbes' Top Employer for Engineers in North America, seeks an Entry-Level Electrical Controls Engineer to design and implement electrical, instrumentation, and controls for water and wastewater systems. You will collaborate with clients and the IFM-Kleinfelder Project Team on project scope, pricing, and schedules.

You will develop PLC logic, HMIs, SCADA applications, and AutoCAD schematics, while supporting commissioning, troubleshooting, and documentation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with AutoCAD Electrical, Allen Bradley RSLogix5000/Studio5000, and Allen Bradley FactoryTalk View Studio strongly preferred.
  • AVEVA (Indusoft), Siemens, and Wonderware experience a plus.
  • Experience with AC variable frequency drives.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Understand Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)

The Entry-Level Electrical Controls Engineer is responsible for collaborating with clients and the IFM-Kleinfelder Project Team to analyze process treatment requirements to design and implement the electrical, instrumentation, and controls aspect of industrial, commercial, and municipal water and wastewater systems.

Anticipated salary range is $35.04 per hour to $43.27 per hour.

Following an offer, candidates will be required to satisfactorily complete employment reference checks, verification of professional licensure and/or educational credentials, a motor vehicle report (MVR), and a comprehensive background check.
