Job summary

Jobot is seeking a seasoned Lead Electrical Controls Engineer to lead a small group of controls designers while remaining hands-on in electrical panels, schematics, and industrial control design in Tulsa, OK. The role emphasizes keeping designs safe, code-compliant, and ready for fabrication.

You will mentor juniors, coordinate workloads, and partner with project management and manufacturing to keep custom projects moving efficiently.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent technical experience.
• Hands-on experience designing industrial electrical control panels, schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts.
• Experience with burner management systems (BMS), combustion controls, safety interlocks, or industrial process control systems.
• Familiarity with NEC hazardous-location requirements (Class I, Division 1 & 2).
• Experience with industrial safety systems, ideally Schneider Electric Triconex SIS and Rockwell FactoryTalk HMI/SCADA.

Responsibilities

• Lead a working group of controls designers and drafters, coordinating workloads and maintaining quality and delivery schedules.
• Stay hands-on with electrical design, panel layouts, schematics, and drawings reviews (about 70% of time).
• Mentor junior team members and improve engineering standards across projects.
