Job summary

River Cities Engineering, Inc. is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Supervisor to lead bidding, planning, scheduling and field coordination on commercial and industrial construction projects in Davenport, IA.

You will manage labor, safety, budgets, permits, and subcontractors, while communicating with clients and staff to ensure on-time, within-budget delivery. A state-approved apprenticeship, journeyman license and at least five years' supervisory experience are required; relocation is

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of a state-approved 4-year Industrial Electrician Apprenticeship.
• Current State Journeyman or Master Electrician License.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience on commercial/industrial projects.
• Previous supervisory experience required.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and supervise field staff to meet deadlines.
• Secure and maintain sufficient work to meet billable hour targets.
• Prepare budgets, progress, and cost tracking reports.
• Review contracts and negotiate revisions with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
• Plan, schedule, organize, and direct project activities to match deadlines and budgets.
• Direct requisition of project supplies and materials as needed.
• Obtain permits and licenses as required.
• Verify subcontractor agreements and insurance compliance before work begins.
• Communicate construction plans and contract terms to staff and clients.
• Maintain complete project documentation throughout all phases.
• Monitor attendance, safety, and performance of electrical staff.
• Provide timely employee performance reviews.
• Foster effective communication with employees, clients, vendors, and consultants.
• Investigate delays or incidents and take corrective actions.
