You will lead mechanical design from concept through launch, design plastic injection molded components and assemblies, and mentor junior engineers. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, create 3D models and drawings, and perform FEA and Mold Flow analysis to ensure producibility and reliability of high-speed

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of product design experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong experience designing plastic injection molded components.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks, ePDM, FEA, and Mold Flow analysis.
• Working knowledge of GD&T, tolerance analysis, and Design for Manufacturability (DFM).
• Experience utilizing Lean problem-solving tools such as Root Cause Analysis and A3 methodologies.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop less experienced engineers.
• Direct experience designing electrical connector products (circular/rectangular/high-speed).

Aufgaben

• Lead the mechanical design and development of connector products from concept through production launch.
• Design plastic injection molded components and complex electromechanical assemblies.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior design engineers.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, testing, and cross-functional teams to develop solutions.
• Create and maintain 3D models, drawings, and documentation using SolidWorks and ePDM.
• Perform engineering analysis using FEA, Mold Flow, tolerance stack-up, and design validation.
• Develop and maintain BOMs, ECNs, specs, test plans, and other engineering docs.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and root cause investigations using Lean tools.
