Job summary

U.S. Electrical Testing, a division of M.C. Dean, Inc., seeks a Commissioning Manager to lead electrical testing, commissioning, and project delivery for mission-critical facilities.

You will head a team of engineers and technicians, coordinate with project stakeholders, and ensure work is completed on time, within budget, and to high safety and quality standards. This role requires deep technical knowledge of electrical systems, strong leadership, and a proven track record in commissioning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with Minimum of 12+ years of experience in electrical commissioning, with at least 3-5 years in a managerial or supervisory role within the electrical industry OR 15+ years' experience with an associate's degree.
• Certifications such as NICET or CCP are highly preferred.
• Possess a valid/active U.S. Work Authorization.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and client-management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the commissioning activities for electrical systems from planning through closeout.
• Lead a team of commissioning engineers and technicians, providing guidance and mentorship.
• Coordinate with project managers, design engineers, contractors, and clients to define scope and plans.
• Oversee testing and validation of electrical equipment (transformers, switchgear, protective relays, controls).
• Maintain accurate commissioning documentation, test procedures, reports, and punch lists.
• Enforce health, safety, and quality standards throughout the commissioning process.
