Red 6 Aerospace, Inc. seeks a Principal Electrical Engineer to own the electrical architecture of next-gen airborne AR hardware. You will guide from requirements throughprototype, qualification and flight, enabling real-world missions.

You will lead trade studies, mentor engineers, and ensure MIL-STD-461/810 compliance while coordinating with systems, optics, software and flight test teams.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering or related technical field.
• 12+ years in developing complex electrical systems in aerospace/defense/high-reliability domains.
• 5+ years leading electrical architecture for airborne/mission-critical systems.
• Deep expertise in subsystem electrical architecture and real-time embedded hardware.
• Experience defining electrical interfaces, power architectures, and PCBA/flex design.
• Track record of MIL-STD-461 EMI/EMC and MIL-STD-810 environmental compliance.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the technically challenging electrical architecture for next-gen airborne AR hardware.
• Oversee full lifecycle from requirements to prototype, qualification to MIL-STD-461/810 and manufacturing.
• Lead trade studies, prototype options, and influence final design decisions.
• Collaborate with systems, optics, software, and flight test teams on proposals, budgets, and schedules.
• Mentor engineers and establish EE group standards and best practices.
