Job summary

West Coast Solutions seeks a Principal Electrical Engineer to lead architecture, design, and development of advanced aerospace electronic systems. You will guide technical decisions across the organization and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams from concept through production.

The role requires 15+ years in electrical engineering and deep expertise in analog, digital, mixed-signal, and power electronics, plus strong leadership and customer communication. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• 15+ years of professional electrical engineering experience.
• Proven experience designing complex analog, digital, mixed-signal and/or power systems.
• Experience taking hardware from requirements to production.
• Strong system-level architecture and trade-study experience.
• Experience leading development efforts and architecture decisions.
• Circuit analysis, simulation, debugging and hardware troubleshooting.
• Schematic capture, PCB development, and hardware integration experience.
• Technical leadership and mentoring experience.
• Strong communication with multidisciplinary teams and customers.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, design, and development of advanced electronic systems and subsystems.
• Design and develop analog, digital, mixed-signal, and power hardware.
• Perform circuit analysis, simulation, and trade studies.
• Lead design reviews and critical engineering decisions.
• Support hardware integration, testing, and root-cause investigations.
• Collaborate with systems, firmware, mechanical, and manufacturing teams.
• Mentor engineering team members and support their growth.
• Engage with customers on technical discussions and requirements.
