Job summary

FastTek in Troy, Michigan seeks a Design Release Engineer, Electrical Accessories to lead the development of electrical accessory point integration. You will work with electrical hardware, systems and software teams to create robust, cost-effective connection points.

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics/Computer Engineering from an ABET-accredited program (Master's preferred) and 5 years of automotive electrical design and release experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics/Computer Engineering from ABET-accredited program; Master's preferred.
• 5 years of automotive electrical design and release experience.
• Hands-on experience with LV/HV components and vehicle electrical systems.
• Experience with CAN, LIN, and Ethernet communication protocols.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Define requirements for electrical accessories including wiring harnesses and control modules.
• Develop designs using CAD software ensuring compatibility with vehicle systems.
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical and software teams for seamless integration.
• Work with manufacturing and purchasing to support production and resolve issues.
• Apply LEAN engineering methodologies across projects.
