IES Residential, Inc. seeks an experienced Electric Service Technician / Single Family Lead to perform advanced electrical service, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair work on site in Wilmington, NC.

The role supports field operations and delivers professional customer service while ensuring adherence to safety standards and electrical codes. The ideal candidate has 2–4 years of electrical service experience, the ability to read blueprints and schematics, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

2–4 years electrical service experience.
Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and electrical documentation.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Must pass required background and motor vehicle record checks.

Responsibilities

Service, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems and equipment.
Diagnose and resolve complex electrical issues in residential, commercial, or operational settings.
Review service requests, plans, specifications, and work orders.
Communicate with customers about repairs, timelines, and service needs.
Ensure all work complies with company policies, safety standards, and applicable electrical codes.
Maintain accurate service records and customer documentation.
Coordinate with employees, vendors, subcontractors, and internal departments.
Mentor and support less experienced technicians as needed.
Monitor tools, materials, equipment, and job-site conditions for safety and efficiency.
