Job summary

Sargent & Lundy invites experienced engineers to join a project team focused on electric distribution design from 4 kV through 38 kV. The role involves leading engineers and designers, preparing construction sketches, reviewing work packages, and coordinating with clients to ensure safe, efficient solutions.

Ideal candidates have 6+ years in utility distribution, strong communication, and proficiency with AutoCAD and ArcGIS.

Qualifications

• This position requires an Associate's degree in a design-related field, or a 4-year non-engineering degree.
• 6+ years of experience with electric utility distribution or equivalent review experience.
• Knowledgeable in distribution design methods and applicable codes and standards.
• Experience with overhead and underground distribution projects (120/208V through 38 kV).
• Strong communication skills and ability to lead a project team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare/review construction sketches and work packages for distribution facilities and related tasks.
• Support preliminary project scoping and field work when necessary.
• Assist in maintenance and recapitalization of distribution components.
• Plan system modifications and oversee complex tasks.
• Provide construction support and client communication as needed.
