Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking an experienced electrical engineer to join a project team environment and lead other engineers and designers using your knowledge of engineering and design practices.

You will prepare/Review construction sketches and work packages, support project scoping, perform field work when necessary, and interact with clients while applying codes such as NESC, NEC, and IEEE.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in a design-related field or a 4-year non-engineering degree.
• 6+ years of experience in electric utility distribution.
• Knowledgeable in distribution design methods and their application.
• AutoCAD, ArcGIS, PoleForeman and related tools.
• Familiar with codes/standards such as NESC, NEC, ANSI, IEEE, GIS/GWD.

Responsibilities

• Prepare/review construction sketches and work packages for distribution facilities.
• Support preliminary project scoping and field work when necessary.
• Support maintenance and recapitalization of distribution components.
• Plan modifications to the system and oversee complex tasks.
• Provide construction support and client communication when necessary.
