Job summary

Sargent & Lundy seeks an experienced designer/engineer to lead a project team in distribution design, reviewing construction sketches and work packages for 4 kV through 38 kV facilities. You will apply NESC, NEC, ANSI, IEEE standards and use AutoCAD, ArcGIS, and PoleForeman to ensure high-quality deliverables.

Essentially you will review work, plan modifications, and provide construction support while maintaining strong client communication and collaboration with engineers and designers.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in design-related field or a 4-year non-engineering degree.
• Three or more years of experience in electric utility distribution to review work by others.
• Knowledgeable in distribution design methods and their application, and in relevant codes and standards.
• Experience with design software including AutoCAD, ArcGIS, PoleForeman; familiarity with NESC, NEC, ANSI, IEEE, GIS/GWD.

Responsibilities

• Prepare/Review construction sketches and work packages for distribution facilities (4 KV through 38 KV) and related tasks.
• Lead project team members and provide construction support as needed.
• Review and ensure compliance with codes and standards in design work.
• Conduct client communication and interaction when necessary.
