Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking an experienced Lead EHV Substation Engineer in the United States to lead design, planning, and project execution for EHV substations up to 765kV. You will prepare technical deliverables and liaise with clients to meet requirements and S&L formats.

The role requires a BS in engineering, 12+ years of substation design experience, and a PE license. Hybrid work with in-office 3 days per week is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering required.
• 12+ years designing substations 138kV+.
• PE license.
• Experience as firm/client liaison in lead engineering roles.
• Experience with relay calculations documentation.
• Proficient in design of electrical plans, blueprints, drawings and models.
• Familiarity with NEC, NESC, NEMA, IEEE and ANSI standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and project management for EHV substations up to 765kV.
• Prepare and review facility studies, general arrangement, equipment plans, grounding and other technical deliverables.
• Provide clear reports and client-ready deliverables in S&L formats.
• Travel to client sites as needed.
• Collaborate in a hybrid work schedule with in-office presence 3 days/week.
