Job summary

Yellow Brick Road is seeking a Lead Educator to foster a nurturing, inclusive learning environment for young children. You will plan weekly play-based lessons, assess development, and maintain a positive classroom culture aligned with our values.

You will also communicate daily with families via our app and collaborate with colleagues to grow professionally. The role requires meeting Minnesota DHS qualifications for a licensed center, strong teamwork, and the ability to handle physical demands

Qualifications

• Must meet Minnesota DHS qualifications for Lead Educator in a licensed child care center.
• Experience working with young children in licensed early childhood education settings.
• Knowledge of early childhood development principles and best practices.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Ability to meet physical demands (standing/sitting, lifting, bending, kneeling).
• Background checks and state licensing requirements may be needed.

Responsibilities

• Develop weekly, play-based lesson plans aligned with core values and standards.
• Observe/assess child progress and tailor instruction accordingly.
• Maintain positive, safe classroom culture and manage behaviors.
• Provide daily updates to parents through the company app and engage families.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and collaboration with colleagues.
