Job summary

MBP is seeking a qualified Project Manager with a minimum of ten years of experience managing large-scale capital design and construction projects. This role focuses on higher education, municipal, and K–12 facilities, with projects ranging from $25 million to $150 million in value.

The role includes project management and design oversight for diverse architectural, building, and infrastructure initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree in a construction-related field required.
• Licensed Architect or Engineer desirable but not required.
• LEED AP or Green Globes certification preferred but not required.
• OSHA 10- or 30-hour certification required within 3 months of hire.
• Knowledge of SC OSE and OSF beneficial.
• Experience with Higher Education and K-12 construction preferred.
• Strong math skills for field measurements.
• Construction management training/experience advantageous.
• Knowledge of construction practices, management and controls.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre-construction and construction-phase owner representation for medium- to large-scale projects.
• Manage cost, schedule, and quality on behalf of the client/owner.
• Lead risk identification and mitigation with the project team.
• Review schedules, progress, and change orders.
• Coordinate QA inspections and ensure contract compliance.
• Track issues to resolution with contractors and designers.
• Coordinate testing with authorities and third-party stakeholders.
• Oversee punchlist, acceptance, and closeout requirements.
