Job summary

Ochsner Health seeks a nurse leader to advance patient care through the nursing process in line with the Nurse Practice Act and ANA standards. You will delegate, direct and assist licensed and ancillary team members, and you will be accountable for quality patient outcomes.

The role requires compliance with organizational policies, strong teaching and collaboration across disciplines within a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.
• Current RN license in the state of practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS certifications within specified timeframes.

Responsibilities

• Effectively uses the nursing process to deliver patient care.
• Delegate, direct and assist licensed and ancillary team members.
• Ensure accountability for quality patient outcomes.
• Demonstrate professional responsibility and compliance with standards.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to achieve unit goals.
