Fisher-Titus Medical Center in Norwalk, OH is seeking a Staff Nurse-Charge in the Emergency Department (7a-7p) to lead shift operations, support bedside staff, and ensure quality care. The role emphasizes effective communication, clinical leadership and resource management.

The ideal candidate has a nursing degree (Associates or higher), current BLS, ACLS/PALS within 6 months, and at least 2 years of Medical/Surgical or ICU experience.

Qualifications

• Associates or higher in Nursing.
• BLS certification required.
• 2 years of Medical/Surgical and/or ICU experience preferred.
• Crucial Conversations course or willingness to complete within 1 year.
• ACLS and PALS within 6 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate shift activities and lead the nursing team in the Emergency Department.
• Assist staff and other providers; act as a clinical resource for policy and equipment.
• Provide effective communication with team members and managers.
• Complete Nurse Leader Rounding on patients as directed by the Department Manager.
• Attend mandatory safety training and participate in monthly rounding.
