Job summary

BRG is seeking a Senior Economist in its Antitrust and Competition practice in Los Angeles, applying advanced economic theory and quantitative methods to complex litigation, regulatory, and merger matters.

You will lead econometric analyses, data workstreams, and support expert reports and client deliverables while mentoring junior staff and collaborating with attorneys and clients. A PhD in Economics and strong IO/empirical work are required.

Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in Economics with IO or econometrics focus from a reputable university.
  • Minimum three (3+) years of experience in supporting complex Antitrust matters.
  • Experience in econometric modeling and empirical techniques using Stata, R, or MATLAB.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills; ability to mentor junior staff.
  • Interest in generating business and becoming known as an Expert in the field.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute analytical workstreams including econometric modeling, data analysis, and economic research.
  • Support expert reports and client deliverables.
  • Manage junior staff and collaborate with senior experts, attorneys, and clients.
