St Mary Villa CDC is launching a new early childhood center in Nashville and seeks an energetic Site Director to oversee daily operations, staff, curriculum, and long-range planning. The role requires active supervision, hands-on classroom coverage, and ensuring safety and compliance.

The ideal candidate has a background in early childhood education with 5+ years in leadership roles, strong budgeting skills, and excellent communication with families and staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in early childhood education or related field with a minimum of 30 credits in ECE.
• Must clear full background check.
• Must pass health screening.
• Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification.
• Strong finance and budgeting skills.
• A strong understanding of child development.
• Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience.
• 5 years of direct professional experience in an early childhood setting.

Responsibilities

• Maintain open lines of communication with parents of current and prospective students using direct conversations, newsletters, and the parent handbook; implement community outreach to foster relationships.
• Ensure the center's curriculum is well-managed; collaborate with staff to develop engaging learning activities and adhere to state/local regulations.
• Manage student records according to enrollment procedures and guidelines; ensure accurate documentation.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with regulatory agencies; ensure legal and financial compliance.
• Maintain a budget that is well-planned and reviewed; ensure the center operates within means.
• Resolve conflicts in a fair, timely manner and take corrective action when needed.
• Maintain a safe and healthy environment for students, staff, and visitors; establish illness and emergency procedures and train staff.
• Oversee development and implementation of the center's strategic plan and goals; align with mission and vision.
• Pursue ongoing professional development to enhance growth and ensure high-quality care and education.
• Ensure the center adheres to quality standards and stays up-to-date with state and local requirements.
