Job summary

Little Schoolhouse Nashville seeks a Director to design and launch a new program in East Nashville. You’ll shape a warm, engaging, high-quality learning environment for young children while guiding a dedicated team of educators.

You’ll build strong partnerships with families and the community, ensure licensing/quality standards, and lead budgeting, enrollment, staffing and scheduling to support program excellence.

Qualifications

• 5-10+ years of leadership or administrative experience in an early childhood or educational setting.
• Solid foundation in education or related fields, ideally with teaching or curriculum design experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially in family engagement.

Responsibilities

• Lead the daily operations of the center, maintaining full compliance with licensing regulations and quality standards.
• Design and implement developmentally appropriate educational programs that nurture the whole child.
• Inspire, coach, and support teachers to continually improve their classroom practices and professional skills.
• Build strong, trusting relationships with parents, caregivers, and the broader community.
• Oversee administrative duties, including budgeting, enrollment, staffing, and scheduling.
• Evaluate and enhance program quality through regular assessments and feedback.
• Coordinate and facilitate ongoing professional training and development opportunities for staff.
