Job summary

The Navy Region Northwest Fleet and Family Readiness (FFR) seeks a Child Development Center (CDC) Director to administer a developmentally appropriate program for up to 100 children. Responsibilities include program oversight, budgeting, staffing, and compliance with DoD, DON, and NAEYC standards.

Responsibilities include supervising staff and volunteers, coordinating with installation CYP programs, and ensuring safety and quality through data-driven planning and community partnerships.

Qualifications

• 3 years of full-time experience working with children/youth
• Strong knowledge of child development theory and program management
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and spoken
• Knowledge of DoD/DON regulations for military child care
• Supervisory experience of staff and volunteers with performance management

Responsibilities

• Oversee development and implementation of CDC programs for up to 100 children
• Ensure compliance with DoD, DON, MCCA and NAEYC standards
• Manage budgeting, procurement, and reporting for program resources
• Supervise CDC staff and volunteers, ensure training and competency
• Develop SOPs, hours of operation, and parent involvement initiatives
