Job summary

Hargrove Engineers + Constructors is seeking an E&I Technical Specialist II in Pasadena, TX. The role leads a design team to deliver electrical and instrumentation packages on time and within budget, including 480VAC and 15kV/5kV equipment specifications.

The ideal candidate has 15+ years of industrial E&I experience, NEC proficiency, and strong drafting/ CAD skills (AutoCAD & Microstation). On-site startup support and cross-discipline coordination are required.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with the NEC and electrical design standards.
• Experience in designing electrical/instrumentation deliverables for industrial projects.
• Ability to prepare installation specifications and equipment specs for 480VAC and 15kV/5kV systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a drafting/design team to deliver electrical & instrumentation packages.
• Produce motor control center single lines, 480VAC and 15kV/5kV equipment specs.
• Coordinate with other disciplines and project teams to meet scope, schedule and budget.
• Assist startup on site and provide technical guidance to junior staff.
• Prepare load calculations, conduit/cable tray routing, and installation details.
