Job summary

Hargrove is seeking an Electrical Engineer II to perform complete electrical and instrumentation design tasks in a Houston-based role. The candidate will work under supervision on projects of varying complexity, developing calculations and material take-offs while ensuring adherence to NEC and project criteria.

The ideal person brings 4+ years of industrial experience, familiarity with CAD drafting standards, and the ability to review vendor drawings.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
4+ years of relevant industrial electrical/instrumentation experience.
Knowledge of NEC and construction bulk materials.
Ability to size conduit, wire, and overcurrent protection.
Familiarity with instrumentation and controls standards (ISA).
Proficient in CAD drafting standards and vendor drawings review.

Responsibilities

Perform complete electrical and instrumentation design tasks under general supervision.
Produce design calculations and material take-offs for project estimates.
Review vendor drawings and fabrication submittals for conformance.
Provide field support during startup and commissioning activities.
Coordinate with drafting team to develop installation drawings and package specs.
Ensure designs comply with codes and client specifications.
