Job summary

Hargrove Engineers & Constructors seeks an experienced I/E Instrument Designer to supervise a design team, delivering electrical and instrumentation work on time, within budget and to quality standards. This role requires extensive experience and the ability to coordinate with multi-discipline teams.

You will mentor junior designers, develop equipment specifications for high and medium voltage systems, and provide on-site startup support in the Pasadena area office.

Qualifications

Requires 15+ years of relevant industrial experience in electrical and instrumentation drafting and design.
Associate degree in Engineering Technology or CAD required.
Familiarity with NEC and electrical installation standards.

Responsibilities

Lead a design team to deliver electrical and instrumentation deliverables on time and within budget.
Produce 480VAC and 15kV/5kV equipment specs with engineering review.
Coordinate with other disciplines and lead training and development of staff.
Provide on-site startup assistance and client interface on technical matters.
