Job summary

Winthrop & Weinstine seeks an experienced E-Discovery and Lead Litigation Support Counsel in Minneapolis, MN. The role combines leadership, legal compliance, risk management, and vendor oversight related to e-Discovery technology and procedures.

Responsibilities include advising on changes to discovery rules, developing e-Discovery policies, managing holds and data preservation, and coordinating with IT and legal teams to ensure defensible data practices. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in Minnesota, or eligibility to obtain Minnesota licensure within a reasonable period following commencement of employment.
• Minimum of three years of progressively more responsible work experience in a litigation setting.

Responsibilities

• Advise the Firm on changes to Minnesota and Federal Rules governing discovery.
• Develop and implement e-Discovery policies and procedures.
• Oversee e-Discovery holds, data preservation, and legal discovery processes.
• Collaborate with IT and legal teams on defensible data practices.
• Supervise large-scale document reviews and training of staff.
• Prepare annual budgets for the Litigation Support team.
