Job summary

Primary responsibilities include dyslexia intervention, coordinating 504 plans, and supporting teachers and students within District policies. Reports to Principals and collaborates with district administration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher required.
• MS Certified teaching license required.
• Enrolled in an IHL program to obtain a 203 teaching endorsement or currently hold a 203 endorsement.

Responsibilities

• Apply knowledge of federal, state, and district procedures concerning dyslexia for general and special education.
• Instruct and evaluate students with dyslexia; provide leadership to teachers in English/Language Arts and Reading Instruction; assist in utilizing effective reading practices.
• Provide learning activities and experiences for general education, special education, and 504 students to support growth.
• Develop or modify curriculum and prepare lessons to student ability levels.
• Lead and attend staff meetings/trainings; serve on staff committees.
