Agility Robotics in Fremont, CA seeks a Staff Robot Architect - Dynamic Simulation Specialist to drive early architectural decisions by creating high-fidelity simulation tools and digital twins. You will lead end-to-end dynamic analysis, provide technical direction, and collaborate across software, controls, and perception teams to shape scalable robot platforms.

The role requires 8+ years in dynamic simulation and 5+ years in simulation tool development, with a strong background in robotics

Qualifications

• 8+ years of dynamic simulation experience driving product development.
• 5+ years in simulation system, process, and tools development.
• 3+ years robot system/architecture development.
• Deep understanding of robotic system design and digital twin concepts.
• Proven delivery of complex robotic systems from ideation to production.
• Strong foundations in software engineering, kinematics, dynamics, controls, and modeling.
• Experience with MuJoCo, Gazebo or equivalents and AI/RL for robotics.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end robot dynamic simulation analysis for early architecture.
• Provide technical direction across teams and lead high-performance subsystem design.
• Lead trade studies and architecture reviews balancing performance, safety, cost.
• Partner with software, controls, and simulation teams for system-level modeling.
• Collaborate to translate simulation into testable, traceable requirements.
• Influence long-term roadmap by translating field data into architectural evolution.
