Agility Robotics seeks a Staff Robot Architect - Dynamic Simulation Specialist to lead early architectural decisions for humanoid platforms by creating high-fidelity, flexible simulation tools. You will guide cross‑functional teams and convert applications into digital twin scenarios to drive product direction.

The role demands 8+ years in dynamic simulation, strong software and systems engineering foundations, and experience with MuJoCo, Gazebo, and AI techniques for robotics.

Qualifikationen

• 8+ years of experience in dynamic simulation of platforms to drive product development.
• 5+ years experience with simulation system, process, and tools development.
• 3+ years robot system/architecture development as a senior lead engineer.
• Deep understanding of robotic system design and Component Simulation and Digital Twin with OS in loop.
• Proven experience delivering complex robotic systems from ideation to production.
• Strong foundations in Software Engineering, robot kinematics, dynamics, controls, and system modeling.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills across multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience with simulation tools such as MuJoCo, Gazebo, or equivalent, and integrating simulation into design workflows.
• Experience with AI and reinforcement learning techniques applied to robotics learning and control.

Aufgaben

• Own the end-to-end robot Dynamic Simulation analysis for early robot architecture.
• Provide technical direction to other architects and across teams.
• Lead trade studies and architecture reviews for simulation tools and results balancing performance, safety, complexity, manufacturability, cost, and reliability.
• Partner with software, controls, and simulation teams to ensure architectural decisions are grounded in system-level modeling, simulation, and performance analysis.
• Collaborate with software, systems engineering, test, and integration teams to translate simulation into testable requirements.
• Influence long-term roadmap by translating user needs, field performance, and R&D findings into architectural evolution.
