Qualifications

• 1 year related experience preferred; CPR/First Aid and Medication Management certification within 6 months.

• Ability to instruct persons with disabilities.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Act as primary contact for parents/guardians, county workers, and medical appointments.
• Monitor schedules, site cleanliness, and time off for participants.
• Drive participants to and from appointments, events, stores, and activities.
• Maintain and review documentation for the site and submit to the Program Manager in a timely manner.
• Assist with training new team members at the site.
• Supervise completion of Individual Program Plans and documentation.
• Maintain accurate documentation and manage documentation systems.
• Submit documentation for participants promptly.
• Build rapport with participants through effective communication.
• Provide crisis intervention as needed and report accordingly.
• Maintain professional relationships with participants, families, co-workers and agencies.
• Assist participants with developing strategies and following through on responsibilities.
• Encourage participants to achieve goals by developing programming from preferences and strengths.
• Provide information about community resources and help with self-advocacy.
• Ensure access to resources and coordinate as needed.
• Provide ongoing assessment of participants to identify needs.
• Complete all duties and align with Goodwill’s IMPACT values.
