Job summary

Rocket Lab in Long Beach, CA is seeking a Senior Manager, Signal Processing to lead DSP algorithm development for new digital payload products including synthetic aperture radar and space-based radar systems. The role drives engineering processes, schedules, and team guidance from concept to inflight deployment.

The successful candidate will combine DSP expertise with system design, manage a 3–4 engineer team, and coordinate with hardware, FPGA, and software groups to deliver flight-ready

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
• 10+ years of relevant experience in space electronics and DSP.
• Knowledge of high-speed interfaces (SPI, PCIe, Ethernet) and DSP concepts.

Responsibilities

• Define engineering processes for new DSP algorithms and ensure traceability from requirements to verification.
• Lead DSP algorithm development and architectural decisions for signal processing tasks.
• Drive product documentation and liaise with hardware, FPGA, and software teams.
• Grow and mentor a team of engineers to deliver flight-ready digital payload products.
