Job summary

Amazon's Prime Air team is seeking a Senior System Safety Engineer to advance drone safety across all Prime Air systems. You will work with top developers and engineering teams to drive safety analyses and integrate safety into development.

Based in Seattle, WA, you will coordinate with regulators and standards bodies; bring 5+ years of system safety experience, and lead cross-functional efforts to define robust safety processes and design requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field
• 5+ years experience in system safety engineering in aerospace, automotive, or robotics
• Experience with safety analysis tools (CAFTA, Medini) and requirements management
• Ability to convey complex subject matter to stakeholders, leadership, regulators

Responsibilities

• Own the completion of safety analyses and derive design safety requirements across all systems at Prime Air
• Define future safety assessment processes and methodologies for drone aerial systems through coordination with regulatory and technical standards organizations across the world
• Lead talented cross functional teams to integrate design safety directly into the system development process.
