Job summary

SkyHop Global LLC in Portland, OR, is seeking a Lead Driver (Player-Coach) to lead a team of drivers in a 24/7 operation while also driving routes as needed. You will set the standard for safety, service, and accountability, and collaborate with the Fleet Manager to ensure readiness and reliability for pilots and flight attendants.

This hands-on leadership role requires driving, scheduling, onboarding new team members, and enforcing a strict no-device policy.

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ years old (DOT).
• Valid U.S. Driver’s License with 3+ years driving experience.
• Clean driving record with no recent violations.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Background check, drug screen, and physical required.
• Ability to obtain a Non-CDL DOT Medical Card.
• Conversational English required.
• Availability on weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and support a team of drivers in a 24/7 operation.
• Build the schedule and adjust coverage based on activity and needs.
• Assist with recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding drivers.
• Drive routes as needed while leading by example.
• Ensure safety, policy compliance, and service excellence.
• Conduct ride-alongs, training, and performance feedback.
• Oversee vehicle readiness and coordination with Fleet Manager.
• Lead safety meetings and enforce no mobile device policy.
• Maintain relationships with airport and hotel partners.
