Job summary

SkyHop Global LLC in Detroit, MI is seeking a Station Leader (Player-Coach) to build and lead a high-performing team from the ground up. This hands-on role requires spending about 50% of time driving and setting the standard for safety, service, and performance in a fast-paced 24/7 operation.

You will hire and develop drivers and support staff, monitor KPIs and service levels, and collaborate with dispatch and safety teams to drive results.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience 2–3 years in transportation, logistics, or operations.
• Hands-on, front-line leadership mindset - this is not a desk-only role.
• Open availability for a 24/7/365 operation (nights, weekends, holidays).
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills in a fast-moving environment.
• Excellent communication and team leadership abilities.
• P&L ownership.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day station operations in a 24/7 environment.
• Drive routes and transport airline crew members safely and professionally (~50% of the time).
• Hire, train, coach, and develop drivers and support staff.
• Ensure strict adherence to safety standards and company policies.
• Monitor KPIs, schedules, and service levels to meet client expectations.
• Partner with dispatch, safety, and leadership teams to drive performance.
• Build a strong team culture focused on accountability, teamwork, and growth.
