Job summary

To The Rescue is seeking a dependable Lead Driver to provide safe transportation for individuals with disabilities in Parker, CO and surrounding communities. You will mentor fellow drivers, assist with trainings, and serve as the driver team’s point of contact to ensure adherence to safety procedures.

The role combines driving duties with mentoring, focusing on safety, reliability, and effective communication within a small team.

Qualifications

• Active, valid driver’s license.
• Experience driving larger passenger vehicles.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Willingness to learn a tablet-based routing and documentation system.
• Experience mentoring coworkers is a plus.
• Experience supporting individuals with IDD is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a minibus transporting individuals with disabilities to appointments and activities.
• Assist passengers with wheelchairs, walkers, and belongings.
• Provide initial training to fellow drivers on procedures and safety.
• Serve as a point of contact for the driver team and reinforce procedures.
• Communicate schedule changes and safety concerns with the team.
• Complete transportation documentation using a tablet-based routing system.
• Maintain a professional, respectful environment for passengers and coworkers.
