Job summary

Northwest Center in SeaTac, WA is seeking a Lead Driver to supervise local donation pickups, bin services, and warehouse tasks while operating company vehicles. You will mentor staff, monitor safety, and contribute to daily operations and long-term goals.

The ideal candidate has a valid WA driver's license, strong customer service skills, and familiarity with DOT standards. Flexible schedule and benefits accompany this leadership role.

Qualifications

• Valid Washington State Driver's License required.
• One year of customer service experience preferred.
• Clean driving record for the past five years.
• Familiarity with DOT commercial vehicle standards.

Responsibilities

• Driving & Warehouse Operations.
• Safely operate box trucks for donation pickups, bin servicing, and store deliveries.
• Perform warehouse tasks, including loading, unloading, and organizing donations.
• Train staff on truck operations, DOT compliance, and routing tools.
• Leadership & Team Support, mentor team members and foster collaboration.
• Inventory tracking, reporting and compliance documentation.
• Safety & Customer Service: enforce safety standards and assist customers.

DescriptionNorthwest Center’s iconic Big Blue Truck division is looking for a Lead Driver to join our team!

This is an active, hands-on position where you will complete local pick-ups, oversee donation stations, perform bin services and maintenance, and assist with warehouse operations. You will not only operate company vehicles but also grow your leadership skills to mentor and support team members, ensuring the successful completion of daily tasks and long-term goals.

As a Lead Driver, you will help reinforce BBT’s "Safety Above All" culture, collaborate with management to optimize operations and provide excellent customer service by sharing information about Northwest Center’s mission and the impact of community donations. Full-time; Monday & Friday 7 AM - 3:30 PM Saturday & Sunday 6 AM - 6:30 PM

Wage Range:

Requirements:

Valid Washington State Driver's LicenseOne (1) year of customer service experienceClean five (5) year driving recordUnderstanding of Department of Transportation (DOT) commercial vehicle standardsFamiliarity with Microsoft Office and web-based applications
